Practical Feed Preparation Activity by Veterinary Health Students

Second-year students of the Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program at Eskil Vocational School of Aksaray University conducted a hands-on learning activity as part of the “Feed Science and Animal Nutrition” course.

Within the scope of the course, various feed resources were introduced to the students, followed by a practical session on corn silage preparation. Divided into groups, students participated in all stages of the process, including chopping, compacting, and sealing the corn material for proper fermentation.

Throughout the activity, students gained practical experience in topics such as the importance of roughages in animal nutrition, techniques of silage preparation, and preservation of nutritional value. The event aimed to help students reinforce their theoretical knowledge while enhancing their professional and practical skills.
