Practical Laboratory Training at Eskil Vocational School

First-year students of the Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program at Eskil Vocational School carried out laboratory experiments within the scope of the Physiology course, transforming their theoretical knowledge into practice. During the practical sessions, students examined the effects of enzymes on carbohydrates through starch digestion experiments and performed urine analyses, including pH measurement and glucose determination, which are essential in disease diagnosis. In addition, second-year students of the same program opened silage samples prepared at the beginning of the semester as part of the Feed Science and Animal Nutrition course, where physical examination of silage, dry matter determination, crude fat analysis, and acid detergent fiber (ADF) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) residue analyses were demonstrated. These activities aimed to improve students’ laboratory skills and help them gain professional experience.
